Easy Art Storage

We obviously have a lot of art fun, so I need easy art storage!

Recently I picked up a few cheap items, used a few empty items, and combined our art supplies!

Easy Art Storage

The Tide Pods Container holds tons of Crayola Paints! I love how it’s easy to see what color you want or how low on supplies we are getting.
Our $ Store “pencil case” really holds: markers, colored pencils, crayons, pens, glitter sticks, glue sticks, etc! Buy one per child so there are no “that’s mine” problems.
The unused Lego Case ($10.99 at Target) is perfect for all the new art supplies we just picked up from Michaels!

We don’t have fancy easels, craft rooms, or organizational skills for that matter.  I try to use what we have, and the kids just want to do art! *and if you have all that – that’s great.

I have yarn tacked to the wall and we hang projects up on the string (with clothes pins).  After each month I send off the masterpieces to older family members (they love it), and it saves me from having to store tons of papers!

How do you store art supplies?

Great ideas! We use what we have, too. Markers and paint brushes go on the art shelves in the collection of plastic restaurant kids cups and frosting containers. The extra cups are stacked to use as water or paint containers.

    • YES! icing containers (after I eat all the icing) make great crayon containers!! Thanks for sharing Marci!

These are great storage tips! I have some formula containers that I’ve accumulated with Baby J and I’m planning on using them to corral our art supplies!

Way to upcycle, girl! My art supplies are (scary) all over the house. I need a day to get them all in one central location.

Very cute ideas!! Thanks for sharing, I will be using some upcycled items in our reorganizing of the school supplies very soon. ~Alexis on behalf of everyone at A Moment with M.O.M.

  6. I too use empty baby formula containers… One for regular pencils, one for color pencils, another for markers, ink pens… They’re great!!! The older kids can grab a can & a clip board and work anywhere… And they’re not too big and unyielding for my toddlers.
