Can you name 10 Ways to Build Preschool Letters?
Letter recognition is fun right now because we are making it all hands-on. We’re spending a lot of time creating letters, forming letters, shaping letters, and spotting letters!
I hope you will capture every opportunity to love teaching your little ones – through the mess and even the repetition. Oh the repetition!! Friend, it goes by too fast!
A loving suggestion, do not make it a big deal if the letters are backwards. Just sweetly change them to the correct position with positive words, “remember B faces this way”. Much nicer than barking, “how many times do I have to tell you B goes this way”. Let’s inspire an appetite for learning not stomp & spit all over it.

Gross Motor fans? You can PLAY Preschool Letters too by trying to make their shapes (think YMCA). Or for visual kids rather than play I Spy colors, play I Spy letters! This is a great game to play especially in the car!

Those are some very good ideas and thank you for sharing them.
The other day my son came to me with a string and put it onto the table and told me that was a ‘R’ that he is made. I was so thrilled that he did that all by himself, he was willing to make letters( even though the truth be told I could not for the love of my God understand how that looked like an R). I think now I can use these activities with him and I am sure he will like doing it.
This, too, what make a great post to include at LWWD. -Savannah http://www.lookwhatwedid-homeschool.blogspot.com
