D is for Dinosaur Book Review

I was pleased to receive D is for Dinosaur by Ken & Mally Ham from my friends at Master Books to review with my boys.

As with all Master Books – the quality, images, and purpose of the book do not compare. Each letter of the alphabet corresponds with a short easily digestible cute one-page story. The flip book is intended to do more than appeal to dinosaur fans, D is for Dinosaur offers a scripted conversation, questions, and learning opportunities to enjoy with your kids.

Our favorite part of the book – my oldest wanted to read it to my youngest!  They sat there reading page by page.

D is for Dinosaur

is not the typical ABC bible story book. A is not for Adam, and H is not for heaven. Yet Ken and Mally Ham provide another fun interesting way to present the gospel from creation to resurrection.

My 9yr old had the opportunity to explain little bits here and there because of the other Master Books we’ve read together, “Yes, all animals were vegetarians in the beginning- nobody ate meat”, “it hadn’t rained before the flood – no one knew what rain was”, “dinosaur means terrible lizard”, “dinosaurs were also little, those were the ones on the ark”.

This book answers questions a normal Sunday School lesson would not cover while also providing a visually appealing read.

If you are on twitter – join the next #TeachTheTruth party August 23rd, 9pm est.  Meet other moms using Master Books in their home as well as answer some fun questions to win D is for Dinosaur for your family!
