Letter D Preschool - short week since we headed back up to Spring Island! Also my oldest son finished 180 days on Monday!
- King David
- bag of D books
- How to Train Your Dragon preschool pack (1+1+1 = 1)
- Doctor Kit – what does a dr. do? “he fixes people”. (thankfully after 10+ shots the hippo survived!)
Science Sunday — We finished lesson one of our Land Animals (Apologia) book and did the 1st experiment for camoflauge and habitat “natural selection”.
It called for M&Ms but we used up our jelly beans! Watch out for green & pink – they disappeared a lot more than the other colors. Paths of Exploration covers a great deal of science – Earth/Physical. But the boys are animal lovers, so we’ll continue to incorporate Apologia into our week – most likely 2 days per week.
We left town Wednesday for Spring Island.
We stayed in this rental house again – I absolutely love the yard! We hunted bugs and bird watched for hours. We drove past this meadow we all felt should be named, “Mommy’s Meadow”. It was so lovely!! I always have such a hard time leaving – I feel alive here. I feel like nothing else matters but time with my children – I just don’t know why I can’t keep this refreshed feeling once we get home.

It looks like you had a fun week!
Best wishes for detoxing. I’m attempting a detox, too
We can do it!
The camouflage experiment looks like great fun!
Your trip looks like it was very peaceful and relaxing. Love the trees-they are beautiful.
What a beautiful place that is! And you took some fantastic pics…I can totally see why the meadow was dubbed “Mommy’s Meadow”…that’s what I would’ve named it too. I like the dish rack/book idea. I’ve seen it on Pinterest and haven’t attempted it yet…glad to see a + response to that one
. Thanks for sharing the must read posts. The titles alone sparked my interest. I’ll be bookmarking those and reading them when I get a chance.
I always wish I could keep that refreshed feeling when I get home. Don’t know what it is…
